Linhartovský zámek

Linhartovy Chateau was built in the second half of the 16th century to become renaissance residence and during its existence several times dilapidated that it could be renovated.

Castle can be found halfway between Krnov and in Albrechtice and regularly it hosts a number of cultural events.

The history of the castle:

In the second half of the 16th century a member of the Old Catholic nobility Vaclav Haugvic began rebuilding Linhartovy fortress into a Renaissance residence. From then forms preserve the original layout with a closed inner courtyard, defensive towers, and in particular the cellar vaults. Fragments remained well preserved sgraffito plaster on the tower. Figural graffiti are visible to this day in the arcade hall II. floor of the north wing of the castle.

In the second half of the 17th century the castle was already very dilapidated building. The new owners of Sedlničtí Choltic began with a general reconstruction of the Baroque style. At the castle has been established at the time an ornamental garden in the French style. In the 19th century, it was converted into a landscaped park.

The castle was again rebuilt in the 18th century. In the mid-19th century changed owners. Oppersdorf where the new owners, at the end of the century rich family Krnovská Wenzelidesů bought the castle, and in year 1930, then the family Wullersdorf and Urbairů bought the castle. And again, adjustments were performed.

In 1943 in the castle was located a German military hospital. Soon there was a fire. Roof burned off. 1944 the castles roof was temporarily covered with cardboard.

In 1945 he became the property of the state. In 1947 a major storm damaged the roof again and weather eroded ceilings and perimeter walls. Safety works were started up in 1957. In 1966 the owner of the castle became Medical Supply company, n.p. The building was partially renovated. In 2001 the castle became property of the municipality and gradually repaired
